Intro

So for those of you who don't know me, I'd like to give you a little background on who I am!


I am the mother of three and have been married to my amazing husband, Bryan for going on 10 years now. My journey to health and wellness began about a decade ago. I was 26 years old and getting ready to join the Army. I was overweight by military standards and needed to change my habits in order to achieve my goal of joining.


I lost the weight (it was only about 10 pounds) and kept it off easily during my time in service. I had a physically demanding job as a turbine engine mechanic and mandatory PT (physical training) kept me where I needed to be.


But then, my world changed. I turned 30, had a baby and got out of the military all within about a year. With all of the changes going on, the weight started to pile on. I managed to get all but 10 pounds off after I had my daughter and stayed that way for a few years.


However, about a year ago, things changed again. I took a desk job and shortly after, COVID hit. After that, the scale kept creeping up and I've put on about 15 pounds in the last year and a half! Wow!


Having said all of that, I want to add that I have stayed consistent with my fitness. Five days a week, I get up and I work out for (about) an hour. So how could this happen?? Well, it really boils down to what I'm putting in my body. So this, is where the hard work starts!
